GTI Loaner

I had to bring in my wife's Tuareg for the replacement of a faulty emissions componant and they had to order the parts. Consequently I get to drive an 09' GTI with a 6 speed stick (I know this is a sales ploy to get me into something new ) . I asked for a Golf R but they didn't have one in stock
I had previously liked the 6 speed stick on my first Jetta and was quite happy with it. Now being accustomed to the DSG transmission in the Cup makes this one feel like I'm shifting with a yard stick And, I now know I'm a torque snob as well.
Overall it's a fun car and would love to A/X it. Makes we really want to try the Golf R or perhaps an old R32...
